The following films come from the Hall Russell & Company collections at Aberdeen Maritime Museum. They were taken in and around the shipyard in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Although the films are silent they provide us with a window onto a vanished world; showing all the hustle and activity of a busy shipyard including launch parties and ships running trials.
Please note that the film footage is hosted by an external site and as such we cannot guarantee that the films will be available at all times.
