Thermopylae clipper ship, 1868 - 1907 Chronometer of metal (brass) with silvered engraved dial. Walnut case. Captain William Edward was the first Master of the Thermopylae. The chronometer was remounted as a mantle clock following his retirement. Chronometer made by James Hatton, London circa 1822.
