Built for R. Irvin & Sons, Aberdeen, by J. Duthie & Son, steam engine by C. Mitchell & Co., Aberdeen. The skipper was J. Jamieson.

Ben Rossal was sold in 1914 to Portugese owners.

Original engines still in use by 1978.
